The Islamic Cultural Center in Madrid

Being located in Spain, the project is inspired from the Andalusian architecture. Elements from Cordoba were borrowed and abstracted into a modern formation. The pitched roof, the courtyard in the middle, the horse show arches and the Islamic motives are all elements utilized in the design of this cultural center in Madrid to create a state of nostalgia to a great era of Islamic civilization used to exist in Spain, Andalusia.
