Wadi Al Suwaidi Project – Landscape Rehabilitation

The Wadi Al Suwaidi Rehabilitation Project aims to enhance rainwater management and boost the sustainability of the local ecosystem. It focuses on improving water absorption in the soil and implementing flood control measures. Additionally, the project enhances the aesthetics of water utilities and introduces water collection techniques. The project will increase the valley’s green coverage by 14%, planting umbrella trees, and establishing a green corridor along the banks of Wadi Hanifa. Stormwater recycling will be implemented to further improve the landscape. Urban access will also be improved, linking Wadi Al Suwaidi with Wadi Hanifa, offering pedestrians and cyclists better connectivity and encouraging recreational activities throughout the area.
